Our trip to Libby, Montana

Top left: Lovely forest path which leads to Kootenai Falls. This is around mile marker 21 on Hwy 2 in Montana between Troy and Libby. Top right: Kootenai Falls. These falls are not considered navigable even though the river is great for rafting on both sides of the falls all the way from Libby Dam to Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Bottom left: picnic beside the Kootenai River north of Libby on the way to Libby Dam. Bottom right: Libby Dam.

Camping in the cedar grove

A variety of campsites at Twin Rivers. The Canadians fly their flags. After all, we're only 22 miles from the border. Our campsite is the first one in the last frame.

More scenes around Twin Rivers Canyon Resort

Steve, the other camphost walking his dogs. We alternate days at work. Bear hard at work hauling away what he has trimmed.

The Kootenai River flooding into our lower meadows. No campsites in this area, but the boat launch is now underwater.
