Stop in Spokane on the way to Idaho

We stopped off in Spokane, WA for three days. Staying at Fairchild AFB, we connected with Fred and Diane Stock, Cadence missionaries, at the base chapel. We hlped prepare a dinner for Air Force families. Fred taught a class after dinner. Tomorrow, we will go to our destination, Twin Rivers Canyon Resort in far northern Idaho.

On the way to Idaho

Mt. Shasta has just had a "mountain of snow" dumped on it. Although there was a lot of tree damage in the town and surrounding area, the mountain was spectacular.

We're in Richland, WA for a week. We managed to get to Katie's Steel Band concert in Columbia Park in Kennewick. It was very windy, but the concert was really good. Katie is in the second row in the closeup. She graduates this spring from Hanford High. She is currently enrolled in Columbia Basin College and has two more quarters until she graduates from CBC.

Beale AFB, CA

We're at Beale AFB, in northern California for the next week. This is the home of the U-2. So I've included a picture of the U-2 in flight and a harbiger of Spring. The hills are the Sutter Buttes to our west. The lower hills are the Sierra Nevada foothills to our east at sunrise. And of course a picture of the campground and the lake (or pond) behind the clubhouse.
